EFEITOS DOS AGONISTAS DO RECEPTOR GLP-1 NA REDUÇÃO DE PESO EM ADULTOS COM OBESIDADE

Resumo

Introdução: A obesidade é uma condição crônica e multifatorial, e prevalente, associada a elevado risco cardiometabólico. Agonistas do receptor de GLP-1 têm emergido como opções farmacológicas eficazes, atuando na regulação do metabolismo energético. Objetivo: Sintetizar as evidências científicas sobre a eficácia e segurança dos GLP-1 RAs na redução de peso em adultos com sobrepeso ou obesidade sem diabetes. Métodos: Revisão sistemática conduzida conforme PRISMA 2020. Foram incluídos ensaios clínicos randomizados e estudos observacionais publicados entre 2021 e 2025, envolvendo adultos ≥18 anos, com intervenções de pelo menos 12 semanas. Os principais desfechos avaliados foram redução de peso, IMC, circunferência da cintura, composição corporal. Resultados: Oito estudos preencheram os critérios de elegibilidade. Os GLP-1 RAs promoveram perdas de peso entre 6% e >20% do basal. A semaglutida apresentou reduções médias de 10–15%, enquanto a tirzepatida mostrou maior eficácia, frequentemente superando 20%. A liraglutida demonstrou perdas moderadas, porém significativas. Houve melhorias metabólicas, mudança no perfil lipídico e aumento da qualidade de vida. Observou-se reganho ponderal após a interrupção do tratamento. Conclusão: Os GLP-1 RAs são terapias eficazes e seguras para a redução sustentada de peso em adultos sem diabetes, com benefícios metabólicos adicionais e relevância clínica no manejo da obesidade.
