INFLUÊNCIA DO ESTROGÊNIO SOBRE A MICROBIOTA INTESTINAL E SUAS IMPLICAÇÕES METABÓLICAS EM MULHERES ADULTAS EM MENOPAUSA

Resumo

A menopausa é uma fase natural da vida da mulher caracterizada pela redução dos níveis de estrogênio, podendo ocasionar alterações na composição corporal, no metabolismo e na microbiota intestinal. A microbiota desempenha funções importantes na regulação metabólica, imunológica e inflamatória, enquanto o estroboloma participa do metabolismo e da biodisponibilidade dos estrogênios, estabelecendo uma relação bidirecional entre hormônio e microbiota. O presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar a influência do estrogênio sobre a microbiota intestinal e suas implicações metabólicas em mulheres adultas na menopausa, com ênfase nos efeitos da deficiência estrogênica, nas alterações da microbiota e nos principais fatores de risco metabólicos. Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, qualitativa e descritiva, realizada por meio de levantamento de estudos científicos disponíveis em bases como PubMed, SciELO e Google Scholar, além de livros e periódicos da área da saúde, considerando publicações entre 2016 e 2025. Os resultados indicam que a redução estrogênica está associada à diminuição da diversidade microbiana e ao desenvolvimento de disbiose, podendo favorecer alterações na permeabilidade intestinal, inflamação, adiposidade abdominal, resistência à insulina e alterações no perfil lipídico. A discussão evidencia ainda o potencial de estratégias nutricionais, especialmente o consumo de fibras, alimentos minimamente processados, prebióticos e probióticos, na modulação da microbiota. Conclui-se que a interação entre estrogênio, microbiota intestinal e metabolismo é dinâmica e relevante para a saúde feminina, sendo necessários estudos clínicos mais amplos para fortalecer as evidências e orientar estratégias nutricionais durante a menopausa.
