Abstract

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women in Brazil and around the world. Therefore, the present study aims to analyze the epidemiology of hospitalizations for malignant breast neoplasia in Brazil over the last five years. The study was carried out through a descriptive, quantitative and retrospective epidemiological survey of hospitalizations for breast cancer in Brazil from 2019 to 2023. Thus, it was noted that women between 70 and 79 years old and of white ethnicity constitute the most affected by malignant breast neoplasia.
