METAMORFOSE DO LEVIATÃ UMA ANÁLISE CRÍTICA DO CIBERLEVIATÁN DE JOSÉ MARÍA LASSALLE

This article critically analyzes the work Ciberleviatán by José María Lassalle, examining the political and civilizational implications of the digital revolution for contemporary society. Based on the hypothesis that the Hobbesian Leviathan undergoes an ontological mutation by transforming into an invisible and self-referential algorithmic sovereignty, the study explores how Homo digitalis emerges as a subject deprived of corporeality, autonomy, and critical sense, immersed in the numbing logic of algorithms. Using the hypothetical-deductive method and bibliographic technique, the article articulates the main elements of Lassalle’s critique with contemporary debates on digital sovereignty and the public sphere. It concludes that the preservation of democratic citizenship requires the construction of a humanistic-technological pact that revalues sensitivity, otherness, and fundamental rights in the algorithmic age.
