Abstract

Comprehensive men's health care is a strategic field for the promotion, prevention, and early diagnosis of health problems, with prostate cancer standing out as one of the main causes of male morbidity and mortality. This report describes an educational action developed within the scope of the extension project "Comprehensive Care for Workers' Health and Men's Health," carried out by 5 seventh-semester medical students during the November Blue campaign in a supermarket chain. The objective was to promote awareness about prevention, warning signs, screening, and general health care. This is a qualitative, descriptive study based on the speakers' experience. The intervention used educational materials (slides, oral instructions, and an evaluation form), addressing topics such as prostate cancer screening, when to seek primary health care/emergency care/emergency medical services, urological warning signs, and general prevention. 58 employees participated. The results showed high engagement, broad audience interaction, and a positive impact on the work environment. It is concluded that health education initiatives in the workplace broaden access to information, strengthen self-care, and contribute to the reduction of preventable health problems.
