Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a condition that imposes persistent air restriction, directly compromising the quality of life and functional capacity of patients. The primary objective of this literature review was to analyze the evidence on the effects of pulmonary rehabilitation in individuals with COPD. The methodological focus was on the evaluation of clinical outcomes, such as the distance covered in the 6-Minute Walk Test (6MWT), and the perception of quality of life, using recognized evaluation instruments. Articles published between 2020 and 2025 were searched in the PubMed, MEDLINE, SciELO, LILACS, and PEDro databases. The selection process resulted in the inclusion of eight studies for the qualitative synthesis. The findings demonstrate that the intervention resulted in consistent functional gains in the 6MWT, with notable increases that ranged from 38 to 55 meters. These values exceed the Threshold Additionally, a robust improvement in multiple quality of life metrics was confirmed, as indicated by improved scores on scales such as SGRQ, SF-36, CAT, and EQ-5D. It is concluded that pulmonary rehabilitation, regardless of the format in which it is implemented, provides It has considerable benefits and should be considered a key intervention in the COPD treatment plan.
