Introduction: Volleyball is one of the most widely practiced sports in the world, present in both recreational and competitive contexts. Despite its benefits, it presents an incidence of musculoskeletal injuries due to biomechanical demands. In this context, sports physiotherapy plays a role in rehabilitation, injury prevention, and performance improvement. Objective: To understand amateur volleyball players’ perception of the importance of sports physiotherapy in injury prevention. Methodology: This is a cross-sectional, descriptive survey study with a qualitative and quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 45 amateur beach volleyball players from Arena do Sol, residents of Patos, Paraíba, of both sexes, aged over 18 years, who agreed to participate and signed the Informed Consent Form. Incomplete questionnaires, individuals who do not practice the sport weekly, and those with comprehension difficulties were excluded. Data collection was conducted remotely using Google Forms, through a semi-structured sociodemographic questionnaire developed by the researcher. Results: There was a predominance of male participants (n=24) 53,3% and individuals aged between 18 and 24 years (n=37) 82,7%. Most participants had been practicing volleyball for 1 to 3 years (n=16) 35,6%, with a weekly frequency of once per week (n=31) 68,9% and no participation in formal competitions (n=34) 75,6%. Regarding injury history, (n=28) 62,2% reported having experienced some type of injury during practice, most frequently in the shoulder and knee (n=44) 97,8%. Despite the occurrence of injuries, (n=32) 71,1% did not undergo physiotherapy treatment and (n=41) 91,1% do not maintain regular follow-up. However, (n=44) 97,8% recognize that physiotherapy can help prevent injuries, (n=45) 100% associate its role with both prevention and treatment, and (n=44) 97,8% believe it positively influences sports performance. Additionally, (n=43) 95,6% reported they would seek physiotherapy care again if necessary. Conclusion: Participants demonstrated a positive perception of sports physiotherapy; however, practical adherence was low, highlighting a gap between recognition and the implementation of preventive follow-up.
