Workplace accidents constitute a serious public health problem and a social, economic, and legal issue, as they directly affect the physical and mental integrity of workers, in addition to generating significant impacts on organizations and the State. The objective of this study was to describe the morbidity and mortality profile of workplace accidents registered in the State of Pará in the period 2019–2023. This is an ecological and descriptive study based on secondary data collected through mandatory notifications of workplace accidents (WA) from SINAN/DATASUS. The analyzed records showed a total of 45,108 workplace accidents (WA) reported in the State of Pará; typical accidents were the most frequent, indicating weaknesses in working conditions and safety management. The highest occurrence was observed among men, with lower education levels, and in activities requiring greater physical effort. There were variations in notifications throughout the period, influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic and underreporting. These results reinforce the need for more effective public policies and preventive actions for worker health.
