This article aims to evaluate the clinical aspects of pneumonia performed in the last five years. Integrative review in the BVS, LILACS, SciELO, PubMed database of works published between 2020 and 2024, combining the descriptors "Bell's palsy", "diagnosis" and "treatment". The cause of Bell's palsy may be a viral infection or an immune disease that causes swelling of the facial nerve, or the cause may be unknown. It is concluded that it is possible to diagnose and distinguish facial nerve palsy from other disorders based on symptoms. A corticosteroid, such as prednisone, is given orally to reduce swelling in the nerve.
