Abstract

This article analyzes a single and descriptive case study, whose unit of analysis is the strategic management of the reliability and operational availability of GTG (Gas Turbine Generator) integrated into FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading) vessels. The study applies structured risk analysis methodologies, specifically FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), to map and prioritize operational vulnerabilities. In a complementary way, RAM (Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability) modeling is used to simulate the behavior of assets under real exploration conditions in an offshore environment. The proposed strategies emphasize predictive maintenance supported by real-time remote monitoring and advanced diagnostics, measures that extend equipment's useful life and significantly reduce operating costs. In this context, the results obtained indicate a substantial increase in the availability of GTGs, thereby validating the practices adopted as a technical reference for the sustainable and innovative management of critical assets in offshore engineering.
